Court rejects Naresh Shenoy’s bail plea in RTI activist murder case

Mangaluru: The second additional sessions court in the city rejected the bail plea of Naresh Shenoy, the prime accused in murder case of RTI activist, Vinayak Baliga on Tuesday August 9.

Naresh Shenoy is currently in judicial custody. He went absconding soon after the murder and had applied for bail through both district and high courts during that period. Seven people were arrested regarding the murder case.

Manju Nireshwalya and Shylesh have secured bail from the district court. Shiva and Srikant have applied for bail, whose hearing is yet to come up.

It may be recalled that Vinayak Baliga was murdered on the morning of March 21 this year. Six persons were arrested in connection to the case. The main conspirator and prime accused Naresh Shenoy was arrested on June 26, putting an end to his three month long run.
