Mangaluru: The III Additional District and Sessions Court on Wednesday adjourned the framing of charges against the six alleged associates of Indian Mujahideen operative Yasin Bhatkal, who were arrested for alleged illegal possession of explosives in 2008.

The Court has posted the same to January 28. Sayyed Mohammed Naushad and Ahamad Bava Abubacker were among the six arrested by police for the alleged illegal possession of explosives from Mukkacheri in Ullal. They were produced before the Court by Mumbai police on Wednesday.
The city police had filed a chargesheet under sections of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, mentioning the presence of Indian Mujahideen Operative Yasin Bhatkal and three others in the house in Ullal. The police have said these four persons- Yasin Bhatkal, Iqbal Bhatkal, Mussaffar Yasin and Kayamuddin Sarfuddin went absconding during the raid.
Naushad and Abubacker were lodged in a prison in Mumbai.
Yasin Bhatkal and another IM operative Asadullah Akhtar were arrested by the National Investigation Agency sleuths on August 30, 2013. Yasin Bhatkal was yet to be produced before this court in connection with the case registered in Ullal.
