Cops trace man who posted insensitive comment over children’s death in Trasi

Moodabidiri: Police have traced Shankar Prasad, the man who posted an insensitive comment after school children lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Kundapur on June 21.

Soon after the tragedy in Trasi, a person named Shankar Prasad took to facebook and posted a insensitive comment saying, ‘Poyina pura porbulu atthe, nank daane(All those who dead and gone are Christians right, why do we have to worry). Outrage against the comment and the person came from all quarters.

A complaint was registered by Moodabidri youth leader Ashwin J Pereira and had demanded to arrest the man.

According to sources, the cops have traced the man and he is likely to be arrested soon. Shankar is a native of Kumble in Kasaragod and said to be a rank holder in engineering. Currently he is pursuing M.Tech in Bengaluru and in a fear that he would be arrested, he has reportedly sought bail through a lawyer from Bengaluru.

It may be recalled that eight school children were killed and at least 12 were injured after a private bus crashed into a maruti omni van at Kundapur on June 21.
