Mangalore, April 20 :  A bike rider  lost his life  when his two-wheeler was hit by a private bus on the Mallikatta main road in  the morning of Sunday April 20.

The route No. 15 bus operating on the Suratkal-Mangaladevi route  hit the bike after it proceeded from the Mallikatta bus stand. The impact of the collision was such that the rider was thrown off guard and fell on to the road. He died  on the spot even as locals tried to take him to a hospital.

The pillion rider is injured and admitted in the private hospital. Kadri police have registered a case.
