Udupi: The district unit of the Congress, SC/ST Morcha staged a protest at Chittaranjan Circle here against yoga guru Ramdev’s controversial comment on Congress party Vice President Rahul Gandhi over Dalits.

Addressing the protesters on Tuesday, April 29, Congress leader Janardhan Bhandarkar said that Ramdev has forgot his job and instead of teaching yoga, he  was busy indulging in politics.

“A few years ago, Ramdev was roaming around on a bicycle, but now owns property worth crores. Instead of openly siding with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) it is better he could joined politics straightaway,” said Bhandarkar.

Protesters demanded  legal action against Ramdev for his comments on Rahul  and also a probe to understand the source of his income. Ramdev should be arrested for making derogatory remarks about Dalit community, the protestors stated.
