Newskarnataka – Moodbidri

Moodbidri:  Umanath Kotian, District BJP Vice President has clarified that neither him nor any of the Billawa leader in the BJP was resorting to caste politics.

Addressing press persons on April 4, Friday, he instead charged the Congress of  trying to sow the seeds of differences between people of different castes, even while teaching lessons of secularism to everyone.

Kotian further alleged that the Congress leaders who are facing fears of failure, have been resorting to a false propaganda during their campaigning that  he (Kotian) was supporting Congress candidate Janardhan Poojari.

He also charged Minister Abhayachandra Jain of resorting to politics of hatred and  accused him of doing injustice to  the Billawa community in the case of forcible eviction of a poor Billawa woman from her house at Moodukonaje.

Kotian said voters will teach a befitting lesson to the  Congress for its follies and also criticised the Congress government for cancelling the Moodbidri taluk announcement proposal.

KP Sucharitha Shetty, KP Jagadish Adhikari, Bahubali Prasad, Shashidhar Anchan and other party leaders were present.
