Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Police have booked Congress leader Amruth Kadri, for assaulting a traffic police constable of the traffic east police station, on Saturday, December 30.

It is gathered that, as per the direction of Traffic east Sub-Inspector Gawar, constable Puttaram stopped Amruth Kadri’s car for checking near Bavutagudde, following which, the accused alighted from the car and assaulted the traffic police constable.

Amruth then fled from the spot.

The Urwa police have booked Amruth Kadri under IPC sections 353, 341, 323 and 504.
