Udupi: The BJP have sturdily declared the candidature for the up-coming Lok Sabha elections from the state and are scheduled to announce it by the end of the week, still there has been a level of apprehensiveness with terms to the candidates from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi-Chikmagalur constituencies.

According to the recent reports the BJP leaders had field former minister Shobha Karandlaje from Udupi-Chikmagalur Lok Sabha constituency for the forthcoming elections; however it is known that some of the BJP Supremes have asserted that they would rather prefer MLA of Chikmagalur C T Ravi.

Sources said that BJP workers at the booth level met the district unit leaders who in turn conveyed to the BJP state leaders that they want C T Ravi to contest from this constituency.
 
Earlier Shobha Karandlaje was keen on contesting for Bangalore North ticket but the party asked her to contest from Udupi-Chikmagalur. Although now, C T Ravi is said to have opposed her candidature and expressed his willingness to contest from the given region.

With supporters and BJP party workers backing C T Ravi’s candidature it is likely that Shobha Karandlaje may lose her probable ticket from the constituency.
