Bantwal :MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has urged the government to hold a public hearing on the proposed Yettinahole Project.





Speaking at a Thanksgiving programme for party workers after his visit to various villages in Bantwal Assembly segment on Thursday June 19, Nalin said there is a widespread fear that the project if implemented would cause irreparable damage and adversely affect the water resources of the district. He said the Union Environment Minister has given his approval in principle to withhold the Kasturi Rangan Report implementation taking in view the opposition by farmers and local residents.
The MP on this occasion also assured to people to live upto their expectation and make sincere efforts to solve the grievances of the people. He said DC has been directed to take steps to temporarily repair the Ammunje Road which is in a bad shape.
Former MLAs Rukmaya Poojari, Padmanabha Kottari, local unit BJP Chief G Ananda, BJP leader Sulochana GK Bhat, Rajesh Naik Ulipadiguttu, Tungappa Bangera Nemiraj Rai, Ronald D’Souza, Babitha Kotian, TP Chief Yashwanth, Vice President Vilasini Poojari, ZP members Nalini Shetty, Jayashree and others were present.
The MP visited various places including Polali, Ammunje, Kuriyala, Annalike, Siddakatte, Vamadapadavu, Panolibailu, Netla and other places.
