Mangaluru: State BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel on Monday October 25 has urged officials to complete the Smart City project within the time frame set.
He was speaking at a Smart City project progress review meeting held in the office of the District Deputy Commissioner.
The Smart City projects must not cause inconvenience to the general public. Traffic diversions, for example, should be done with police assistance, and to ensure that the funds granted under the scheme are used wisely, concerned officials must be on the site while the work is being done, he added.
Dakshina Kannada District Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K. V. directed officials to provide accurate information to the public about roads that pass through A B Shetty Circle, as well as to put up signs at the intersection to guide people.
Mayor Premananda Shetty, MLAs Vedavyas Kamath, Dr. Bharath Shetty, and other officials were present.
