Kasargod: A student was killed and his friend seriously injured in a collision between a bike and a tanker at Padannakkad on National Highway on October 9.

The deceased has been identified as K V Sajit (20), a student of Nehru College in Padannakkad.

A grievously injured Sudaiv accompanying Sajith was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru for further treatment.

Sajit was an accounting student at a private tutorial based in Nileshwar.

Though both were rushed immediately to the government hospital in Kasargod, Sajit succumbed to injuries en route.

Bekal Police have registered a case.
