Coast Guards help Japanese ship staff to receive treatment in city

Mangaluru: An employee in a Japanese ship who was suffering from stomachache was shifted to a private hospital with the help of coast guards on Thursday, April 11.

According to the sources, Japanese ship M V Broog which was sailing around 300 nautical mails away from Mangaluru was heading towards Japan. As an employee of ship developed a stomachache, the Coast Guards team of Mangaluru received a distress message. Immediately, the team approached local agent of the ship Hareesh and made arrangements to anchor the ship at New Mangaluru Port Trust.

Later, the employee was shifted to A J Hospital in city. After proper treatment to the employee, the ship proceeded towards Japan, sources from Coast Guards informed.
