CM indicates setting up NIA office in Mangaluru soon

Mangaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has indicated on Friday August 13 that an office of National Investigation Agency (NIA) will likely be opened in the City.

Speaking to media persons, he said that with the recent happenings in the City and as matter of internal security, Home Minister Araga Jnanendra has already held two meetings deliberating the issue. However, nothing much can be revealed as the plans are in nascent stage and few more meetings need to be held in this regard, he noted.

Further, the CM added that final decision can be taken only after due discussion with the Home Minister in the Centre and subsequent approval. Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to visit the State soon, he informed.
