Mangaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s tour to Dakshina Kannada on Monday, October 3, got cancelled due to the special Legislature session scheduled.
According to sources in the Department of Information, the chief minister was supposed to lay the foundation stone for a Veterinary College at Koila in Puttur. The college which was said to to come up under the auspices of Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University (KVFSU), Bidar, had received an approval to begin functioning at an estimated cost of Rs 142 crore and the government had allotted 247 acre land for the purpose.
A review meet to access the progress of development work in the district has also been cancelled.
