City to rejoice celebration of Guru Nanak Jayanti

Mangalore: City is all set to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikh religion.

City’s popular Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha Society has kept a three day akhand path (continual reading of a holy book) as well as Guru ka Langar (free community kitchen) for all the devotees.

“Gurudwara has been decorated with the colorful lights, as tomorrow there will be a gathering of the Sikh community as well as Sindhis too will rejoice the occasion. After the congregation, langar will be served to all the devotees, who will visit Gurudwara,” says Balvinder Singh, vice president of the Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha Society to newskarnataka.com

Guru Nanak Jayanti will be celebrated tomorrow in the city and the event will be marked by the recitations of keertan/gurbani at the place.

City’s Gurudwara is located near to Kotara Chowki Maladi Court, Bangra Kuloor.
