Kasargod:The city police led by circle inspector K Prem Sadan arrested a youth who is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl.

The arrested has been identified as Abdul Khader (29), a resident of Yeryappady – Muttattody. He was accused of raping a Class IV student who was returning home after attending Independence Day celebrations on August 15, along with his friend.

The incident came to light when the girl student was unwell on the following day, as her parents enquired. Her parents informed Child Line activists who gathered information and lodged complaint with the city police.
