Karkal :The city police arrested a person who was found in possession of one-and-a-half kilograms of hemp nearby Swaraj maidan, here on Saturday October 5.
The arrested has been identified as Parvez, a resident of Tokkottu in Mangalore city.The city cops arrested Parvez on a sure tip-off and seized the hemp worth about Rs 6,500.
The operation was carried out by ASP Annamalai, town PSI Pramod Kumar P, PSI Ravi, policemen Rajesh, Umesh, Shivanand, Praveen, Santosh, Naveen and Yatin.
