Mangalore: Popular Kannada Cine actress Miss Shubha Punja visited BIG GREEN GANESHA at City Centre Mall, Mangalore, an initiative by 92.7 BIG FM.  She offered flowers to Lord Ganesha and said “92.7 BIGFM is doing a tremendous job by initiating BIG Green Ganesha. In this current situation, we need to look at the environment and take steps to protect it. I am happy to be part of this event and I will always support these kind of initiatives which intends to save the environment. I wish everybody a very happy Ganesh Chaturthi.’’

An innovative idol of Ganesha made of old news papers collected from households across Mangalore is been celebrated during the season. The environment friendly BIG Green Ganesha is the initiative of 92.7 BIG FM conceptualized in the year 2008, and is currently in its seventh successful year of celebration with a vision and a thought for a better eco-friendly future.
