Mangaluru: Christmas Sauhardha Sambrama-2018 was held at the residence of Jacob Moras on December 23. The Members of Gabriel III ward, of the Guardian Angel Church Angelore organized this celebration, which became a convergence point for people from different religions from all over the locality.
The Asst. Parish priest Rev Fr Denzil Lobo presided over the function.
The MLA of Mangalore South Vedavyasa Kamath was the guest of honour. The Corporator of the area Praveen Chandra Alva, K Devendra, the Managing Trustee of Mahalingeshwara temple, Kankanady, Sr Celine Mendonca, Superior of the Capitanio Convent, Roshan Patrao and Dora Rodrigues, the vice President and Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council and Jyothi Dias were present.
MLA Vedavyas Kamath, in his address gave a call to break down the walls that divide the society, while former MLA JR Lobo said that the real meaning of Christmas is to meet the needs of the poor and the downtrodden. Fr Denzil Lobo, in his address said that one must see Jesus in every individual and uphold the essence of humanity. Sumptuous fellowship meal was followed by a meaningful Christmas skit, Dance and Christmas Carols.
Shanthi Moras compeered the programme. The ward leader Ron Michael Vas proposed the vote of thanks.
