Alangar (Moodbidri): “Rejoice, for today unto us as Saviour is born. The birth of our Lord Jesus Christ brings happiness to all of mankind. In a world troubled with wars and suffering this day reminds us of the peace and tranquility a little infant brings along. He came down from heaven, took on himself the weakness of human flesh to save us all from sin and free us from oppression. To receive him in our homes and especially our hearts is to say that we are truly happy to be transformed”, said Head Priest of Alangar Holy Rosary Church Fr. Basil Vas while presiding over the Christmas Eve Celebration held at the Church.

Post mass, the youth of Alangar organised a small entertainment program in the festive mood of Christmas. Dinesh Hegde, the Manager of Alangar Corporation Bank shared his Christmas wishes. The speciality of this year was the Kuswar which was made at the Church by various ward members under the leadership of Women Association. Kuswar was distributed after mass to everyone present.
