Mangaluru: A children’s’ movie ‘Gadhada Kudi’ produced by K Sathyendra Pai and K Krishna Mohan Pai, under the banner of Invenger Technologies released at Big Cinemas in Bharat Mall on Friday, March 29.

Santhosh Shetty, who directed this film met with an accident and succumbed a couple of months ago. Hence, his mother Leela Shankar Shetty inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp and wished success for the film. Producer K Sathyendra Pai informed that the movie ‘Gandhada Kudi’ sheds light on the ill-effects of reckless deforestation. He also informed that a song ‘Nadendare Kannada Nadu’, sung by veteran singer Vijay Prakash is an added advantage to the film.

“Before its release, it has received 21 awards both at the national and international level. It has also received appreciation from many heavyweights of the film world”, Sathyendra Pai added.

The film has been released in Big Cinemas, PVR, Cinepolis in Mangaluru, Ashirvad in Udupi, Big Cinemas in Manipal, Sri Krishna in Kasargod, Planet in Karkal, Amarashri in Moodbidri, Vinayak in Kundapur and Shankar in Byndoor.

Child artiste Nidhi Sanjeeva Shetty has played a lead role in the film. Sandalwood actors Ramesh Bhat, Shivadhwaj, Jyothi Rai, Aravind Shetty Kojakolli among others have played different roles. The film has four songs, penned by Razak Puttur. The music is composed by Prasad K Shetty.
