Chief correspondent of Kasargod evening daily killed in road accident

Kasargod: In a tragic incident, the chief correspondent of a Kasargod evening daily died after a KSRTC Airavatha bus collided into his bike late night on Monday, April 3 here.

The deceased, Mutalib (42) from Chowki was employed as a chief reporter for ‘Karaval’ evening newspaper for the last ten years.

The accident occurred at around 10 pm on Monday night when Mutalib was on his way home when a KSRTC Airavatha bus from Karnataka collided into his bike from the front. He was rushed to a nearby hospital. However owing to the serious nature of his injuries, arrangements were made to take him to a hospital in Mangaluru. Mutalib was declared dead on arrival at the hospital in Mangaluru.

His body will be handed over to his relatives after post-mortem examination
