Mangaluru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) police nabbed 14 people who were allegedly involved in gambling at a house located near Anegundi on Sunday, June 7.

The arrested have been identified as Chethan Kumar, Nikhil, Chethan alias Chethu, Dheeraj, Sachin, Surendra, Mohammed Anwar, Mohammed Jubair, Nagesh Shriyan, Bharathesh Shriyan, Mohammed Imran, Anwar, Hemanth and Sathish Poojary.

Based on a tip-off, a team of CCB police headed by Inspector Shivaprakash and sub-inspector Kabbalraj launched a raid and arrested the accused. Police also seized Rs 1,75,200 in cash, 18 mobile phones, and cards that are being used in gambling, from the possession of the accused.

The accused would be produced before the court, police sources informed.
