Kasargod: City police have arrested three accused in connection with cattle theft here on September 3.

The arrested are identified as Abdul Jamsheer(19), Shifaz(21) and M A Anas(21) a residents of Chowki Azad Nagar.

They had transported cattle in a goods auto recently. Police had tried to stop thier vehicle two days back near Parekatte in the outskirts of the town. But these culprits escaped without stopping their vehicle. They  escaped, deserting the goods auto and cattle after a short distance. Police had continued search for the culprits and found that the auto was stolen from Azad Nagar.

The auto belonging to a resident of Kodyame was given to a man from Azad Nagar for rent to use it everyday for Rs:200.
