Mangalore: Indiana Hospital and Heart Institute, Mangalore on occasion of World Heart Day organized a symposium on 29th September 2014 at 5.30 pm at hotel Deepa Comforts. The symposium on the burden of cardiac Diseases on the community.

Dr Yusuf Kumble, Managing Director, INDIANA HOSPITAL AND HEART INSTITUTE and also the Chief Interventional Cardiologist was moderator of the symposium. While speaking on the occasion he said, “INDIANA HOSPITAL AND HEART INSTITUTE is proud to organize such an awareness campaign. He also added that such awareness campaigns would not only spread the message but also involve public on a large scale.
He stressed the importance of immediate care in emergencies and many lives lost due to not receiving immediate medical care.
There is a rapid increase in Heart related problems among all age groups. The community is facing many problems to diagnose & treat Cardiac Problems. Cardiac Issues are increasing due to our life style which can be controlled by changing our way of life.
The objective of the panel discussion was ‘Our lifestyle and the impact on our society’ by panelists representing different work groups and lifestyles.
Dr. Yusuf Kumble, Chief Interventional Cardiologist & Managing Director was the Moderated the panel discussion.
