Cancer Awareness Panel discussion commenced at St. Vincent Ferrer church auditorium

Mangalore: St.Vincent Ferrer Church in association with The Rotary Club of Mangalore Sunrise and Ave Maria Palliative Care organised a panel discussion on Cancer Awareness programme.

The inaugural function began at 5:00 pm on Sunday 1st September. The dignitaries present at the programme included Parish Priest Rev.Fr. Bonaventure Nazareth, Rtn Dr.Gurudutt Rao ,President of Rotary Club of Mangalore Sunrise, Rtn Dr.Shivshankar Bhat ,Chairman of the cancer awareness programe, Dr.Rohan Gatti, Dr.Dinesh Shet, Colonel Serrao and Dr. Jessica Serrao who were the representatives from Ave Maria Palliative care.

Rev.Fr. Bonaventure Nazareth welcomed the gathering and the dignitaries. Colonel Serrao put forth a brief history of the journey of the cancer awareness program so far.

The Cancer Awareness Panel discussion is a detailed awareness program that aims at directly educating the masses on cancer, its etiology, the metastasis of cancer, the preventive and the non preventive types of cancer in terms of the patient and the families and palliative care essential for cancer.

Dr.Shivshankar Bhat  was the moderator and the panel consists of Dr.Rohan Gatti, Dr.Dinesh Shet and Dr.Jessica Serrao.

This programme will be aired on All India Radio Call in show every second Saturday from 9:30pm -10:30pm.
