Mangalore: CAMPCO president Konkodi Padmanabha urged farmers to vote for Modi in order to safeguard the Arecanut farmers.

Speaking to the reporters he said, central government did not show any interest when there was a proposal to ban arecanut as they have not appointed any lawyers to fight this case.
An affidavit, earlier which was submitted by portraying arecanut as harmful for health cannot be taken back and union ministers in Udupi, Shimoga and Chikmagalore are simply accusing CAMPCO and MAMCOS.
Under the leadership of CAMPCO, other organisations like MAMCOS, TSS, TUMCOS, Farmers Association of India, Arecanut Farmers Association have appointed five lawyers in SC in support of Arecanut farmers. We are putting pressure on state and central government to support the arecanut farmers. So this time we need to think and vote carefully.
In the press meet, Shimoga MAMCOS vice-president Narasimha Nayak, CAMPCO vice-president K Sathish Chandra Bhandary were also present.
