Mangaluru: In case you have parked your vehicle in the No Parking Zone and the towing machine has towed it away, all you have to do is contact the police control room and verify the same.

Pointing out the complaints of vehicle owners who are unaware about their vehicles having been towed from ‘No Parking’ zone, Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil told reporters that vehicle owners have to call police control room (0824-2220800) and confirm whether their vehicle was towed to the police station. Usually towed vehicles would be handed over to the nearby police stations and owners can get their vehicles released after paying the prescribed penalty, he said adding that vehicle owners must avoid parking at the No Parking Zones.

After assuming charge as the Commissioner of Police, Patil also launched a drive against tinted glasses of vehicles. A total of 143 cases were registered against the vehicles which put tint glasses.
