Mangaluru: CA Gautham Pai D takes over as the Chairman of SICASA, of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Mangaluru branch.
SICASA is Southern India Chartered Accountants Students Association. SICASA is the student wing of the Southern Region of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. All students registered for the CA course will be a part of it. The Mangaluru Branch has more than 3,800 students coming under its purview. Mangaluru Branch SICASA was set up in 1972 & on 7th Jan 2022, it will complete Golden Jubilee.
SICASA is a platform where students can exhibit their talent. It conducts seminars, workshops, conferences, fest, Mock tests, Crash courses, etc for developing skills.
It is a great honor for me, says CA Gautham Pai D.”I took over as the Chairman of the Students wing at the age of 27, youngest to achieve this in the history of 50 years.” he expressed.
He has served as the Secretary & Vice Chairman of SICASA Mangaluru in 2012 – 14 during his student days.
Speaking with News Karnataka he shared his vision and action plan.
He said ” The overall development of the Students is the key outlook and providing a platform for enabling them to make giant strides in the only objective of SICASA. All the Activities to be centered around value addition ensuring maximum participation of students & thereby igniting interest to associate with SICASA.”
For which SICASA is conducting a National Convention, Workshop spanning 6 weekends (2 hours each), Career Counseling to promote & create awareness of the CA course. Youth Festival, Sports events in a unique way, Industrial visits, Hosting of Webinars of BOS, Quiz & Elocution, Mock Tests & Comprehensive Fast Track Course, Special programs on important topics.
He said that as a chairman of SICASA he also planned to conduct special activities for the benefit of students. Such as a Residential Educational workshop or tour. “We Were Once You”- An event wherein members who have excelled in various fields will be connected with the students to make it a point that there’s much more than practice and employment once qualified. Walkathon – A big bunch of students coming together & networking, also giving a message on the importance of Fit body for Fit Mind. Beach Cleaning –to contribute from our end, having the message of social responsibility towards nature & society.
