Moodbidri: One person was killed in an Omni-Bus collision here at Kanthavara in Beluvai on April 8.

The deceased is identified as Veerappa, owner of Manjunath Bicycle shop in Alangar.

The incident took place here on Tuesday, when Veerappa and his family were returning home after attending a marriage function in Sanoor. When they reached Kanthavara, a private bus heading towards Moodbidri to Karkala rammed into their Omni.

Veerappa who was driving the Omni died on the spot.  The Moodbidri police have reached the spot and a case has been registered.
