Kasargod: A bus plying from Kayyur to Kanhangad overturned and fell off the road near Cheruvathur on Friday August 29, injuring several passangers.

According to the reports the driver of the bus moved towards the egde of the road in a heed to give way for another bus, but lost control of the vehicle. The bus rolled down about 25 ft off the steep edge of the road and turned turtle.

Along with three passengers, driver Venu and cleaner Shyamkumar sustained serious injuries, while around 30 other passengers in the bus were hurt.

All of them have been dmitted to a private hospital in Nileshwar, while Narayana, three-year-old Nanmaya, Krishnan and Raju were taken to Kanhangad government hospital. Some were also admitted to hospital in Cheruvathur, as per the sources.

A case has been registered in Chandera police station, the local rushed to rescue when the accident occured.
