Kasargod: A 55-year-old man was stabbed to death at Bovikana, Kasargod on Tuesday, June 3.

The victim, Sudhakar, a resident of Malla was employed with BSNL as a Division Engineer.

The incident took place some 200 meters away from Sudhakar’s residence when he was on his way home.

Preliminary police investigations into the case have suggested that he was murdered by his neighbor Radhakrishna over a land dispute.

Police informed that after murdering Sudhakar, Radhakrishna committed suicide on a railway track. His mortal remains were found on the Kumbale railway track on Tuesday night.

From several years Radhakrishna and Sudhakar had a land dispute. The case was in the court but the court had given a verdict in favor of Sudhakar. For several times both have engaged in a verbal argument.

Police have shifted Radhakrishna’s mortal remains to Kasargod general hospital. Sudhakar’s mortal remains had been shifted Periayarum Medical College.
