Ullal: Police arrested two brothers who allegedly raped a 14 year old girl a month back. The rape case has been registered under the Pocso  Act. Basheer(35) and Rasheed(34), residents of Konaje are the accused.

On December 26, 2014 Basheer entered the house of a minor girl who resides in Bhatragudda in the absence of her mother. Then he took her inside the room and allegedly raped her. later he threatened her not to reveal the matter to anyone. Exactly one month later on Jan 26, his brother Rasheed went to the same house and raped the minor girl and escaped the spot threatening murder her if the matter was revealed.

Both the brothers were in contact with the girl. The incident came to light when the parents of minor saw her speaking to the accused. The enraged parents asked her to call the rapists and asked them to meet her in a hotel owned by brothers. In a dramatic move, they caught hold of the rapists and thrashed them publicly and handed them over to the Ullal police. Initially the matter was resolved with mutual understanding but when they came to know about sexual assault on the minor, police registered case against both the brothers.

Case has been registered under the section 448, 376 rape case, 506 threat to murder under the Pocso Act. Basheer has been married twice and has separated from both his spouses.
