Bantwal : In a broad daylight burglary, thieves who broke into a house at Naduvalachil near Kelinja in Veerakambha village on Monday June 9 have decamped with a cash of Rs 12000. The house belonged to Girija.

The theft took place when Girija along with her family members had left   to visit a hospital in Mangalore at around 11 am. By the time they returned at 3 pm, the house was found burgled.

The thieves had gained entry through the back door and had stolen the cash kept in the cupboard. Though the thieves had ransacked the entire house in their search for other valuables, they couldn’t find anything.

Vittal Police are investigating the case.
