Moodabidri: In a bizarre incident, a wedding photographer who was covering a wedding reception at Shirthadi was assaulted by a person who was waiting in a queue to congratulate the just married couple on Wednesday.
The victim is Harish from Shirthady.

The wedding of  a bride from Saccheripete and groom from Mantradi was held at Shirthady church hall. The reception was hosted by the couple at Shirthady Brahma Residency on Wednesday evening.

But, since the bride and the groom were on the dance floor, the people who had formed beeline to congratulate the couple grew impatient.

Suddenly a guest named Vincy who assumed that the photographer had sent the couple to the dance floor so that he could get some dance shots, walked up to the photographer and assaulted him.

Harish who has sustained some injuries has been rushed to Moodabidri Government Hospital, while Vincy has gone absconding.

South Kanara Photographers’ Association, Moodabidri Zone has condemned the act.

A case has been registered.
