Mangaluru: A letter by a young boy thanking Commissioner of Police P S Harsha for freeing him from his ganja addiction, has gone viral on social media.
In the letter, the boy explains that he had been addicted to ganja for the past five years and was unable to concentrate on his studies as a result. He claims to have tried various ways to quit the habit, but was unsuccessful. However, his life was changed after he was caught by the Kavoor police on September 2.
The boy credits his successful quitting of the drug to the “inspiring words” and “proper guidance of ACP Srinivas and Kavoor Inspector Raghav”. He thanked the police department for bringing light back into his life.
Dated September 5, the letter was posted on the compol’s official Twitter handle. “Really Heart touching moment. An Young boy who was addicted to ganja was caught by police and counselled writes to me that he had changed.. this is what we want.. not cases or arrests.. they all are tools to attain this result.. proud, (sic)” the tweet read.
