BoB to celebrate Baroda Kisan Pakhwada and Baroda Kisan Diwas from Oct 1 to 15

Mangaluru: Bank of Baroda is celebrating Baroda Kisan Pakhwada and Baroda Kisan Diwas from October 1 to 15. An announcement in this regard was made at a press conference on Monday, September 30 at 1 PM at the Conference Hall, Bank of Baroda, Vijaya Towers.

As a part of the ”Baroda Kisan Pakhwada” various programmes are organised by various branches of the Bank, such Farmers’ Fairs, Night Meets in villages, health check-up camps for farmers as well as cattle, Farmers’ Conferences, Financial Literacy Camp, Felicitation Events for farmers etc. Baroda Kisan Pakhwada and Baroda Kisan Divas aim at increasing levels/flows of advances in rural and agriculture sector.

The objectives of this campaign are to:

1. Celebrate the farmers’ contribution to the growth of the country and the Bank’s business.

2. Appreciate long-term associated farmer customers/senior citizens farmers of the Bank for maintaining their trust.

3. Promote more farmers to get connected with the services of the Bank.

4. Promote the Bank’s various agriculture lending products viz. Baroda Kisan Credit Card (BKCC), SHGs/JLGs, Gold Loan, allied agriculture activities, farm mechanization, FPO/FPCs, Food and Agro-processing Units etc. along with other products for SME, Retail Banking, Liability and Wealth Management Products.

5. Undertake nation-wide advertisement/publicity/promotion campaign that will create awareness about the Bank, garnering new business and bringing new customers.

6. Farmer engagement and creation of awareness among the farmers’ community regarding the various initiatives taken by the stakeholders including the Government of India and the Bank in the agriculture ecosystem towards doubling the farmers’ income by 2022.

A new agriculture digital platform by the name and style ”Baroda Kisan” was recently launched by the Bank. This platform will take care of all of the farmers’ basic needs. It provides services such as weather forecast, mandi prices, soil health and a host of other advisory services that will benefit the farmers.

Background

Baroda Kisan Pakhwada and Baroda Kisan Diwas are unique events celebrated with an objective of reaching out to the farming community. These events are being celebrated to acknowledge the contribution of the farming fraternity to the society and to the economy of the country.

After the successful endeavour last year, this year we are celebrating with renewed enthusiasm. Last year as many as 250000 farmers participated in various outreach programs held by the Bank of Baroda Branches all over India. There was a very positive and enthusiastic response to this one of its kind initiative from various quarters.
