Kasargod: A black magician was arrested on the charges of sexually harassing a 15-year-old girl.The accused, 38-year-old Ramachandra who hails from Uppala Aila, was arrested by the Manjeshwar police on Wednesday December 18.

It has been learnt that the father of the girl was employed as a cook at the ashram in Uppala, where the girl was also employed later on. It is known that Ramachandra sexually harassed the girl in the ashram since  the last six months.

When the news spread like wild fire, a group of people, said to be activists of a Hindu outfit,  barged into the ashram and went on a rampage. They broke chairs and window panes and even damaged a car.

The Manjeshwar police have booked 30 persons for vandalism on the basis of a complaint lodged by the black magician.
