Mangaluru: Three people in Dakshina Kannada district have reportedly been infected with the ‘black fungus’ are receiving treatment while one patient has died after infecting the fungus, the sources informed.

According to reports, one of the two patients admitted to a private hospital in the city’s Derlakatte has died, while the other has recovered. It further added that two patients with the infection had been admitted to a private hospital near Suratkal.

The district administration has not officially confirmed the figures or developments in this regard.
