Mangaluru: After the successful protest rally and Dakshina Kannada bundh, Netravati Rakshana Samyukta Vedike is getting ready to intensify it’s protest against the Yettinahole project by showing black flag to Central law Minister Sadananda Gowda and Chikkaballapura MP Veerappa Moily on June 11 at Mangaluru Town Hall.

Addressing media personnel at Mangaluru on Tuesday Vedike President Vijay Kumar Shetty said that when Gowda and Moily will arrive at the Town hall for a private programme the vedike members will show black flag as protest against the Yettinahole project.
“Both of them are the master minds behind this project. Let’s see if they come to Mangaluru or not,” he said adding, “Veerappa Moily has challenged the people of Dakshina Kannada by saying that the project will be completed by 2018. We have seen lot of projects which could never see light of the day and this project will too join the same league. “
He further said that Green Tribunal passed the judgment of this case to the Environment Expert Nagendran, but Nagendran resigned from the post recently. The new Environment Expert Jyotilingam has asked for rehearing of the case. Already previous hearings have taken two years to give judgment of the case, if Jyotilingam’s plea is accepted by the tribunal then it will take two more years.
Vedike Convener M G Hegde alleged that this project is a big scam. Central Minister Sadananda Gowda and MP Veerappa Moily are the main persons who are involved in it. Neeravari Nigam is a sort of fund rising department for every government. Projects like these which will never end will give them lot money, so all the governments are running behind these never ending projects.
Hegde challenged both Gowda and Moily to contest from Dakshina Kannada and see their fate.
Vedike Members Satyajith Surathkal, Harikrishna Bantwal, Prashanth, Gangadhar Hosabettu, Yogesh Shetty Jeppu and others were present
