Karkala: A delegation of the town unit of the BJP has submitted a memorandum to Tahsildar Babu Devadiga requesting the government to extend the time limit for sending SMS to the department concerned for availing ration cards.

The memorandum addressed to the State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, while pointing out that the last date for sending SMSs was June 30, has  urged the minister to extend the last date as many rural people are still unaware of this procedure and are unable to send SMS on time.

The BJP delegation included Shashikala Raane, TMC Vice President. Prakash Rao, opposition leader in TMC, Giridhar Nayak, town unit BJP President, Sunil Kotian, Harish Shenoy, Maya, Yogish Devadiga, Anitha Kanchan,Sridhar and other BJP leaders.
