Mangaluru: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is expert in promising a bunch of lies and coining statements that hog limelight in the media, JD(S) leader Amaranath Shetty said, during the protest meet here in the city on Friday.

Addressing the protestors in the city, Shetty said that the BJP knows the hunger of the media. The party plies them with popular statements, without any concrete plans. BJP promised to get the black money back in 100 days after they are elected to power. After elections, they ask for six months. They opposed implementation of Aadhaar card before elections, claiming the project was threat to security, but now they are for it”, he said.

Modi came to power using the financial resources of Adaani and Ambani.

After being elected to the post of prime minister, he is busy pleasing them. There are 70% of citizens in India who are farmers and working class. The government is not interested to look into their welfare, he said. The people do not even know who are their ministers. Only Narendra Modi is dominating entire cabinet, he added.

On State Government’s failure to handle rape cases, he said the ruling congress government is more interested to protect the rapists than convicting them. He also criticized the state government for creating confusion among people on ration cards.

He also criticized former Chief Minister B.S Yeddyurappa and former deputy chief minister Eshwarappa for indulging in corruption. The BJP leaders have no moral rights to talk about corruption and atrocities against women, when they themselves are involved in these issues, he said.

Mohammed Kunhi, Chengappa were among others who spoke at the occasion.
