Mangaluru: Home minister K J George on Tuesday called the Bharatiya Janath Party (BJP) as habitual liar. “BJP is a liar, they say the same lie several times and people eventually tend to believe them”, he criticized.

The Minister, who was in the city to inaugurate Police canteen and Police Community Hall, visited the congress’ office and addressed the media on November 25.

He said that the ideologue of the congress is to work for the downtrodden of the society. Victory and defeat is part of politics, he stated.

“However BJP has been lying and spreading rumors, they also spread communal tensions”, he further alleged.

Home Minister said the people of the country voted BJP expecting change and growth. But, the six month’s work of the central government is disappointing, he said.

He criticized the government for taking credit of the programmes introduced by the UPA government.

BJP praised themselves for the success of India’s Mars Mission Mangalyaan, which is irrelevant, said the minister.

On protection of women, he said “Congress has done the best to safeguard the rights of women; BJP is accusing us stating that there is law and order problem in the state because of which women are abused.

They have forgotten BJP ministers itself molested the women; some were caught watching blue films at parliament. Terrorism was high in their rule, he elucidated.

The District-In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai, Ivan D’Souza, MLC, J R Lobo MLA, Moideen Bava MLA and others were present.
