BJP day-dreaming of seeing Modi as next PM: Sorake

Moodbidri: The BJP is day dreaming of seeing the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the next prime minister of India, said State Urban Development Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake.

He was addressing a Moodbidri Block Congress workers convention held at Samaja Mandir  on April 9, Wednesday. Continuing, he said the efficient administration of the Congress government has ensured India the fourth spot in  development in the world. Still the BJP is misleading the people and is glorifying a leader like Narendra Modi, he alleged.

Sorake further said the Siddaramaiah government has implemented most of the welfare programmes it had promised in its manifesto and added the rest of the  programmes will be implemented in the next two year period. Distribution of 1.9 lakh ration cards within the first few months of its tenure is the achievement of the  Congress government, Sorake said.

Kallige Taranath Shetty, District Congress Spokesperson, Abhayachandra Jain, State Minister for Youth Services, TP members Prakash P, Prema, TMC President Supriya D Shetty, Vice President Eliza Menezes, Bajpe unit Congress President Ramachandra Shetty, Moodbidri Block Congress President Meghanath Shetty and other party leaders were present.

Around 50 workers from BJP and Janata Dal joined the Congress on the occasion.
