BJP chief Amit Shah on three-day coastal K’taka visit from tomorrow

Mangaluru: BJP National President Amith Shah will reach Dakshina Kannada district on Monday, February 19.

Addressing a press meet at BJP office here in the city, Nalin Kumar Kateel revealed that Amith Shah will undertake a three-day visit of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts and will address the BJP party worker during his visit. Amith Shah will reach MIA at around 5:30 pm, on Monday, February 19. Dakshina Kannada BJP members will welcome the National President, outside the airport and there he will be addressing party workers for few minutes, before travelling to Kukke Subramanya. He will stay there overnight.

“On Tuesday, February 20, he will visit Kukke Subramanya Temple and meet Swamiji. Later at around 9:00 am, he will address a selected booth level party workers’ meet, ‘ Navashakthi Sangama’ at Kulkunda in Subramanya. From there he will leave for Vivekananda College of Engineering, Puttur to address the college students on the concept ‘New India’. Later, Shah will address Navashakthi Sangama in Bantwal, organised for Belthangady, Puttur, and Bantwal assembly constituency party workers. Before leaving to Udupi, to take part in Fishermen Convention at Malpe , he will address party workers in Surathkal. On 21 February he will be in Uttar Kannada to address the party workers”, MP said.

Taking dig at KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao and State minister UT Khader, for their remarks that Shah’s visit has resulted in communal discord and violence in various places, Nalin Kumar said, “The Congress should contemplate before giving irresponsible statements against the BJP leader. It was after Siddaramiah’s visit to Mangaluru, Mysuru, Uttar Kannada that the violence and murders have been reported. It was during the Congress regime in the state that highest communal violence episodes had occurred,”. Kateel said.

BJP district president Sanjeeva Matandoor, former MLC Monappa Bhandary and others were present.
