Mangalore: Most Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangaluru Diocese, also President of Father Muller Charitable Institution, initiated Pre-entry level accreditation programme of NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospital and Health care providers) at Thumbay Father Muller Hospital.

Bishop stressed the need of quality health care for the rural community and thus to fulfil the vision and Mission of Mangalore Diocese.

Bishop unveiled the Vision and Mission statement of Thumbay hospital and handed over the responsibilities to the doctors who are co-ordinators of various NABH committees.

“Doctors are the healing instruments of God and they must serve the suffering community with smiling faces”.

Rev Fr. Richard A Coelho Director of FMCI, released the hospital magazine “Muller@Thumbay” and appealed all healthcare faculty to serve with dedication and compassion.

Dr. B Sanjeev Rai Chief Guest of the programme highlighted the importance of quality care and explained the duties and responsibilities of various NABH committee coordinators.

Rev. Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, Administrator FMMCH and Rev. Fr Peter S Noronha were Present. Rev. Fr Roshan Crasta, Administrator of Father Muller Hospital Thumbay, welcomed all and Dr Kiran Shetty, Medical Superintendent proposed vote of thanks.
