Mangaluru: Bishop of Mangaluru diocese Aloysius Paul D’Souza handed over 24 houses, located at Maria Ashram, Talapady to the poor families on Tuesday, as part of the Christmas celebration. 

Meanwhile, he called upon the people to maintain communal harmony and peace in the society. Bishop said Mangaluru is known for peace and unity. Lately, few incidents have destroyed communal harmony among people. “Let us strive to live in peaceful co-existence”, he said.

He also said that the diocese will share Christmas meals with over 200 people who live in old age homes on December 28.
