Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district BJP spokesperson Harikrishna Bantwal informed that the people of Billava community are not in favour of any caste or religion, but they are pro-nation always.
Addressing the reporters at BJP’s election office on Tuesday, April 9, Harikrishna opposed the statement of JDS youth wing state president Madhu Bangarappa that the BJP has misused the Billava community. “The allegation upon the BJP of misusing Billava community is completely wrong and they are several instances wherein Billava community has been safeguarded by the BJP socially and economically. If the JDS and the Congress are so concerned about the Billava community, why they did not support senior Congress leader and former union minister B Janardhana Poojary when he was denied entry into the district Congress office to hold press conference? Why they did not extend their support when Poojary was abused verbally by the miscreants?”, he questioned and added that both the Congress and the JDS leaders showed fake sympathy on Poojary in order to gain the confidence of Billava community.
“Modi is a political missile and everyone wants to re-elect him as the prime minister of the country. If Rahul Gandhi led UPA government would be voted to power, then Bin Laden culture will crop up in India. During the regime of Narendra Modi, our culture and tradition have attained its peak and it has received high patronage at both national and international. Hence, people should support Nalin Kumar Kateel in order to re-establish the BJP government,” he added.
Meanwhile, Harikrishna Bantwal informed that coalition candidate Mithun Rai is not a capable and right candidate to fight against an able candidate like Nalin Kumar Kateel. “A total of 425 Shakthi Kendras in Dakshina Kannada district are actively working for the success of the BJP candidate. Hence, the winning margin of Nalin Kumar Kateel will go beyond two lakh votes this time”, Harikrishna predicted.
BJP leaders like Sathish Kumpala, Purushotham Bhat, Sanjay Prabhu and R C Narayan were present.
