Mangaluru: Pachanady on outskirts of the city has been witnessing repeated instances of chain snatching and on Monday evening, in yet another incident of chain snatching a lady lost her gold chain weighing 3.5 sovereign, costing about Rs 60,000.

As per sources, two bike-born miscreants saw their target at a shop in Pachanady. They to came to the shop on pretext of purchasing cigarette and engaged in a conversation with victim, Surekha. While they continued to buy some chocolates, they seized the opportunity to snatch away the chain from her.
