Bengaluru: A debt-ridden private firm employee who had lost Rs. 12 lakh on the stock market has been arrested for reportedly killing his 75-year-old landlady, informed police.

According to sources, 29-year-old Vinayakanagar resident Jaikishan B. S., was arrested on Saturday July 23. He lives in Banashankari First Stage in South Bengaluru.

Jaikishan is accused of killing Yashodamma on July 2 to steal her gold jewellery so that he could pay off his debts. The post-mortem report showed that he stabbed her 91 times.
